MONITORING > BACTERIA

In cooperation with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Office of Shellfish and Recreational Waters, volunteers and program staff sample water at Delaware Bay and ocean beaches and the Delaware Inland Bays and Broadkill River watersheds. See sampling sites.

The program monitors water quality at the state’s recreational beaches to protect the health of swimmers and other primary contact water users.
